　　These days， it seems that we have more and more cars in our society. As a result，

　　driving bicycles or walking on road is less safe now. Anymore， many gardens

　　and lawns have been placed by roads and highways， just for automobile

　　driving. It‘s really a great pity， but is there anything way can do to change this

　　situation?

　　In my opinion， developing faster and more convenient public transportation

　　system is the most urgent thing， especially those beyond or under the ground.

　　If everyone can get to his target place easily， fast and economically， who will

　　prefer driving by himself? So it will certainly reduce the number of automobiles

　　on the road and thus efficiently minimize the traffic accidents caused by cars.

　　We can take the subway system as an good example， because it has its own

　　underground railway， it seldom bring accidents to walkers and bicycle drivers

　　and has no need to destroy our gardens or lawns in construction.

　　On the other side， issuing higher taxes on private cars or increase the fuel price

　　maybe also effective. It will reduce people‘s desire to buy their own cars. By

　　limiting the amount of private automobiles， together with the developed public

　　transportation system， there will be less cars on the road， then the need of

　　constructing more roads and highways will automatically disappear. Of course，

　　we can limit the number of private cars by laws and many other ways. But the

　　aim is the same.

　　In a word， limiting the number of private cars as we develop our public

　　transportation system is the right answer.
